Abstract: The present study intends to understand how the process of ethical - pedagogical formation of the Mozambican Protestant theologian takes place in a context of socio-cultural changes in the country. For this, using a predominantly qualitative methodology and focused on the literature review, it begins by describing some of the main socio-anthropological changes in Mozambique and shows the importance of the ethical-pedagogical training of the national Protestant theologians. Then, based on the literature review and documentary analysis, the study characterizes some of the socio- cultural changes in the country, examining the guidelines for the ethical-pedagogical training of a theologian at the Biblical School of the Igreja Assembly of God of Mozambique. Data collection took place through participant observation, documentary analysis provided by the institution, that is, the curriculum proposal, school calendar, and semi-open interview, using a questionnaire that served as a script for qualitative research with a totally voluntary participation. The results indicate the trainers' desire to be prepared to face this existing crisis, as well as the desire to help other learners, and revealed the relevance of this work to implement measures that make the Protestant theologian even more qualified for this demand. . The research revealed that the ethical and pedagogical training of the Mozambican theologian provides them with the necessary subsidies to respond to the challenges of the contemporary world, but with gaps that must be filled, with measures such as: increasing the workload for disciplines such as ethics, sociology and anthropology and continuing education to update knowledge appropriate to the challenges of the postmodern world.
