Análise da formação do guarda da polícia na Escola Prática de Polícia de Matalana

Abstract

This dissertation aims to analyze the training of the Police Guard at the Practical Police School of Matalana, specifically seeking to identify the theoretical model of training for the Police Guard; to evaluate the teaching and learning process, the methodological options of the trainers and the techniques of physical preparation of the students and; evaluate the organizational structure involved in the processes of acquiring the police guard's police skills. Thus, the field of study is the Matalana Police Practical School and the object of study is the Basic Police Course. To achieve these objectives, a qualitative approach was adopted, based on the interpretative paradigm, the case study and field research. The selection of respondents was based on systematic sampling and with a 95% significance level, which culminated in the selection of 271 students and 33 trainers. Thus, for data collection, semi-structured interviews, self-administered questionnaires, non-participant observation and bibliographic and documentary research were used. The data obtained with the application of these instruments were submitted to content and categorical analysis. In conclusion, the study achieved the stated objectives, by exhaustively answering the research questions. Thus, the dissertation characterizes the training model adopted by the Matalana Police Practice School, assesses the teaching and learning process and the respective organizational structures involved in the process and describes the challenges of the Matalana Police Practice School.(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
